I'm a MMA coach at TriStar Gym, arguably one of the best MMA gyms in the world. When i'm not helping UFC fighters attain their pinnacle, i'm an avid outdoorsman. I purchased my first Anza knife about 4 or 5 years ago, and I really appreciated Charlie's craftsmanship from the get go. The knife was great looking, but most importantly it was very functional and held an edge forever. So I purchased more! So recently I had the misfortune of loosing my camp to fire. In the ashes, I found what was left of my favourite Anza knife. So I wrote Linda and Charlie, and asked them if there was any way Charlie could rebuild my knife. They were so nice, and immediately offered to look at what could be done. When they received the blade, they called and unfortunately, the news was not good, the blade had heated too much and was beyond repair. But seeing how I was ready to go to length to save my Anza knife, Charlie offered to build me a new one. Not only did he build me a new awesome knife, he gave it to me free of charge! I've had the chance to exchange messages with Charlie, and he's a awesome person, and great knifesmith.?
I have the previlege of working with some of the best fighters in the world, and this has led me to seek the best in everything I undertake. So when it comes to blades, Anza knives are my choice, and Charlie ranks up there with the best knifesmiths in the world. I feel blessed that from this bad thing (the fire), I had this great experience with Anza Knives, and i'll be a friend and client of theirs forever! Eric O'Keefe, TriStar Gym, Montreal.

The workmanship on this knife is superb. The blade is exquisitely shaped in a military/tactical style. The micarta handle feels very comfortable in the hand and it is obvious that some thought went into its design, because it allows for a number of different grips, all of which feel secure and 'locked in.' This is a serious knife; if you plan a tactical application be advised that the casual or careless need not apply. I suppose this knife could also be used as a woodsman/hunting knife. At any rate, the JH-3 is a bargain---I've seen many knives costing 3 - 4 times as much, that I doubt are as well made. If you enjoy serious knives you won't go wrong with this one.
